About Me

My name is Chris, 1930 is the name of my line that I am starting. My line will include both menswear and womenswear as well as jewelry. I was in and out of college for about five years now and times are hard. This is my way of giving others hope as well as take people on a crazy journey with me and to express my inner most thoughts through which people may see how I work.  On my current lists of things to finish by next summer: Completion of my first collection, Completion of the new website, and Finishing my first book. This blog will contain my trials and tribulations while I climb my way up to the position I want to be at in life and business.

Soon I will have a link to my online shop! Spread the word to everybody you know, please.

Forever Amazing.

    • Um…yeah. What would you like to know?

Books & youtube can be your bestfriends when you want to learn how to make jewelry or come up with some innovative ideas.
I always turn to nature, especially since a mjority of jewelry designers only use metals & not natural fibers: ie. leather, hemp, etc.
I lived in an artsy part of Brooklyn at the time & lived around most of my customer base. Since then I’ve learned that my customer base exceeds beyond just Brooklyn. Now it’s Atlanta, San Diego, San Francisco, South Dakota, Indiana, Illinois, Florida.

Always try to stay ahead of the trends & even make some up of your own. Believe it or not people & stores don’t always like to have mutliples of the same pieces….they like the fact that everything is handmade & each piece may not be exactly the same of the same lot.
If there’s anything else you’d like to know, shoot me an e-mail:

P.S. Sorry for getting back to you so late….I’ve been busy with starting the clothing portion of the brand & working non stop.
Thank you for your questions & for coming to my blog. 😀

      hey Meechie,

I went to your blog & I liked it
So, here are my pointers or advice:

      1) CATEGORIZE & TAG-it helps makes navigating easy &
helps people get to where they want asap.
      2) PERMA-LINKS-this is what helps people get to your site
when they type words into a search engine. I tend to
use words I use in an article or in the picture. You
must separate each word with a dash (-) so that it
becomes a separate search term. For example:

      should read:
      or something like that,
or if you have another site you could link the pic url to jump to that site. So when I type into google search: the barclays center, your blog will pop up & the more visitors you get using those keywords the more chances you get to be on page 1 vs. page 4 or something.

      3) PAGES-I highly recommend making separate pages & use
your front page (aka Static page) as a way to notify
users of new material-like a preview/summary to draw
      them to the other pages.
The first few titles you have on your static page I can
see as things you can expand on if you want.
Ex: “Where Can I Get That” (perfect for a page title)
this could be a page you update weekly or daily. If
you were to do that your pic of Jay-Z or the headline
could have a link that would take me to the page
      “Where Can I Get That”.
      Also since you say

“Not every guy can wear Gucci Prada, so this blog is our way of exploring the urban street style of today with the upscale couture of tomorrow…”
Then produce it on the blog through & through. Like the Jay-Z pic you tell ppl that they can find something like it at YSL Paris…where’s this jacket being sold where your Urban crowd can afford it? In America LoL

I hope this helps you a little. Remember these are just the changes I’d make myself to get more traffic & make sure it’s an easily navigated blog/website.

      Peace & Love,
      Chris J
